The Ethics course was taught by Michael Lang in January 2019 at the University of Oregon School of Law. There are two parts to the Ethics Course:

  • 1.75 hours of reviewing the Mediation Process: How can we set-up an ethical process?

  • .75 hours of establishing an ethical Mediator Role: This section looks at specific scenarios and provides suggestions for how mediators can set up their own personal process for navigating ethical dilemmas.

Michael Lang

Michael Lang is a mediator with more than 40 years' experience in the areas of family, workplace, organizational, congregational and public policy disputes. He is a prominent international leader in the field of conflict resolution. He has consulted with and provided conflict management trainings to a range of businesses, government agencies, not-for-profit organizations and university faculties. As well, he designed and helped implement a comprehensive workplace mediation program for the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
